About SreeRam School

Sree Ram International Residential Public School was designed to be a school of excellence for all and a charitable organization with the goal of helping alleviate the plight of the poor, particularly children of single mothers. Sree Ram School will provide free education and hostel facilities, as well as nutritious and hygienic food, medical care, and special coaching and tutoring for those in need. As we grow, it is our goal to set aside at least 25% of our residential accommodations for assisting those in need. We are concerned with the development of the physical, mental and spiritual needs of our diverse students and consider prayer and celebration of major religious Hindu, Muslim, and Christian holidays as an integral and important part of our schedule. We also commemorate secular holidays, such as Independence Day and Republic Day.

Sree Ram International School includes students in grades LKG and UKG as well as students up to and including Vth Standard. Handicapped children are especially welcome and receive personal attention as well as coaching and tuition classes to aid in their development.
Teachers are all qualified, having achieved at least a B.Ed. degree. As well as instruction in English, children will receive instruction in all subjects, including: mathematics, social studies, English, Malayalam, Hindi, science, computer science, and Sanskrit. In addition, special classes in art and yoga are available.

The location of Sree Ram School is near the highway, in Ezhilode, where many buses stop. It is also near a railway station in Ezhimala, and just 4 kilometers from historical Payyannur. Pariyaram Medical College is just 10 kilometers away.

Classes are scheduled from 10am until 3:30pm, Monday thru Friday, and student-teacher ratio is currently 4-1, providing the opportunity for each child to receive plenty of individualized attention. We are particularly proud of the record we have established in working with our handicapped students, having watched students who arrived at Sree Ram School as non-verbal and non-interactive begin to speak and sing and relate happily to other children and their teachers. At Sree Ram, we believe that love is the best teaching method and we work with each child’s body, mind, and spirit.

Sree Ram School was inaugurated with great festivity, including talks by prominent citizens and educators, entertainment by students, refreshments and community involvement on May 15, 2006. We are proud of our first year’s successes and look forward to the further involvement and input from our parents and teachers.
